The Corporation of the City of Brantford and the Corporation of the County of Brant, as co-hosts of the 2021 Ontario 55+ Winter Games, are committed to respecting the privacy of its web visitors. Any personally identifiable information received is kept confidential--as it would be through a visit in person, through mail correspondence, or over the telephone. These practices have been designed to ensure compliance with the privacy provisions of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPED-A) and the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). The 2021 Ontario 55+ Winter Games website and overseers collects personal information under the authority of applicable legislation, including Section 10(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001. 

Personal information gathered through e-mails and/or form submissions will only be accessed by those employees and Games Organizing Committee members responsible for directly responding to your question or comment. The legislation, reason, and contact for more information will be provided prior to collection. The 2021 Ontario 55+ Winter Games organizing committee does not use, share, or retain personal information that you provide to us for any secondary purposes unless we clearly notify you and gain your permission first, or for allowances outlined in the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Any and all third parties that the Games Organizing Committee uses to help it manage this information are bound by the same policy.

You may browse throughout our website without disclosing any of your personal information unless you decide to do so at your own discretion. Participation in website content is completely voluntary and you have a choice of whether or not to disclose the information requested.

We use IP (Internet Protocol) addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track clients' navigational preferences, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. We may occasionally report aggregated demographic information in the form of reports and statistics, but this is not linked to any personal information that can be used to identify any individual person.

The 2021 Ontario 55+ Winter Games site requires the use of "cookies".  Please note that this site uses "per-session" cookies only, which are small files that are temporarily stored in your computer's memory and are deleted when you leave the website.
