What dates will the Games take place?
2023 Brantford-County of Brant Ontario 55+ Summer Games will take place from August 9 - 11, 2023.
What is the Registration Process?
Registration for the 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games has begun, making it an exciting time for District Coordinator and participants alike. To initiate the process, District Coordinator have been provided with a dedicated registration link. They can then either personally share this link with participants to register themselves or distribute the print version shared with by the Ontario Senior Games Association (OSGA) and District Coordinator can complete the registration on the participants’ behalf. Submission of the registration form online ensures that accurate and up-to-date information is collected for each participant. The OSGA will receive a list of all registered participants who have successfully filled out the online registration form. The OSGA will share each Districts registrant with the District Coordinator to confirm each registrants name, eligibility and sport/category. District Coordinator will confirm participants to Games organizers, marking the official acknowledgment of the participants' registration for the upcoming event.
Why don’t I get the information I filled out in the form back to me?
In Canada, privacy laws, such as the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Ontario Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), are in place to protect individuals' personal information and ensure its confidentiality. These laws govern the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data by organizations, including those involved in event registrations like the 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games.
According to these privacy laws, registered participants' personal information must be treated with the utmost care and kept confidential. Sharing this data with an unconfirmed email would be a violation of privacy laws.
The objective of these laws is to safeguard individuals' privacy rights, prevent unauthorized access to personal data, and ensure that organizations handle personal information responsibly. By adhering to these privacy regulations, the 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games can maintain the trust and confidence of participants in the protection of their personal information, thereby upholding their privacy rights in accordance with Canadian law.
Why doesn’t my District Coordinator get a copy of my registration?

How do I pay for the Games?
All registration fees are to be paid following the process set out by your local District Coordinator. Please contact your District Coordinator for more information.
At the conclusion of registration and confirmation of participants by the District Coordinator, the 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games will invoice Districts. District Coordinator are responsible for submitting one payment on behalf of the District.
What is the difference between the Premium and Standard Registrations?
The Premium (Traditional) Participant Registration Fee offers a comprehensive package that includes accommodations, transportation, meals, and tickets to special events. On the other hand, the Standard Participant Registration Fee provides access to competition events, tickets to select events, food during competition, but does not include accommodations, breakfast, or transportation to and from accommodations. Participants can choose the package that best suits their preferences and needs for the games.
The Standard Participant Registration Fee gives everyone the opportunity to choose their own accommodations for the Games either in a short term rental, staying with local family members , a preferred hotel/hotel room or allows participants to stay at home during the Games.
Why Can’t I choose my own Accommodations when registering for the Premium Registration fee?
For the 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games, accommodations will play a crucial role in providing comfort and convenience for the participants. The organizing committee understands the importance of a suitable arrangement to ensure that participants can focus on their competitions and enjoy a positive experience throughout the event. Therefore, a thoughtful approach has been taken to assign accommodations based on the sport in which each participant will be competing and the preferred roommate they specified during the registration process.
Efforts will be made to accommodate as many roommate requests as feasible while considering logistical constraints and the overall number of participants. In some cases, it may not be possible to honor every specific request due to availability or other factors, but the organizing committee will strive to ensure that participants are satisfied with their assigned roommates and accommodations.
By tailoring the accommodations based on sports and roommate preferences, the 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games aim to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants.
When will schedules be made available?
The creation of schedules for the 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games will occur after registration closes on June 29th and will be made available at least two weeks prior to the competition, July 27th. All participants will be scheduled for competition both August 10th and 11th.
It is important to note that the schedules for the 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games will be subject to revisions and adjustments up until the day of the competition. Participants are encouraged to continually check the Games website for the most up to date schedule.
