Accreditation Pick-up Details and Opening Ceremony

We are thrilled to welcome you to the much-awaited Brantford/County of Brant 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games! As the event approaches, we want to ensure that your experience is as smooth as possible, starting with the accreditation pick-up process.
Accreditation pick-up will take place at Rink 4 of the Wayne Gretzky Sport Centre, 254 N Park St, Brantford, ON N3R 4L1, on the opening day of the games, August 9th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. To streamline the process, we have set up 11 tables, each dedicated to specific sports, where you can collect your accreditation. It is essential that you go to the designated table for your sport to receive your credentials promptly.
In order to receive your accreditation, please ensure that you bring the following documents signed and in printed form:
- Liability Waiver
- Notice of Data Collection
- Photo Consent Form
- Medical Form: This form you will keep with you for the duration of the Games and it is important information that is needed if there is a medical emergency. Please keep this in you accreditation pouch at all times.
Upon successful completion of the accreditation process, you will receive your athlete's bag, generously sponsored by Brantford Apparel as you exit the rink. The bag contains items that will enhance your participation experience throughout the games.
If you have purchased any merchandise, it will be available for pick up at the Apparel Desk. Please make sure to have your invoice with you to show proof of purchase.
We kindly ask that you arrive at the Wayne Gretzky Sport Centre with sufficient time to complete the accreditation process and familiarize yourself with the event layout and facilities. For those who have registered for the Opening Ceremony meal, your meal tickets will be inside your name badge pouch. You must have your meal ticket to exchange for your meal. At registration you will be directed to which Rink, 2 or 3, you will be eating in. Volunteers will also help assist you. Meal service doors will open at 4pm in Rinks 2 and 3. A cash bar will be available in both Rinks 2 and 3 and alcohol will only be permitted within these spaces. We will encourage participants to begin taking their seats for the Opening Ceremony at 6:30pm.
We have an exciting Opening Ceremony packed with entertainment, which will include the parade of District Flags, athlete and officials’ oath and will conclude with the lighting of the Games Cauldron. Opening Ceremony will conclude at 8:40pm.
